Wichita is the largest town in Kansas and located in the south-central part of the state. The city began as a trading post on the Chisholm Trail in the s and was incorporated in Wichita is an area center of trade, culture, and media with several large entertainment venues, museums, parks, and theaters. Wichita lies in the northern limits of North Americas humid subtropical climate zone and typically experiencing hot, humid summers and cold, dry winters. You might not think of Kansas as a standard destination to visit, enable alone as a gay-friendly one, but we create it to be very welcoming and there was even a small LGBT artist exhibition going on at the time of our visit (although it didnt make it into our videos).

Wichita Capital Pride, hosted by the City of Wichita and Proud of Wichita (Wichita LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce), is held each year in June at Naftzger Park. This Pride Block Party began as a celebration of Wichita adopting the strongest non-discrimination ordinance in the state and now includes food trucks, a bar, vendors, art, family-friendly activities, live melody and an all-ages queenly show.
