Eine Gruppe aktueller und ehemaliger Teilnehmer*innen von Dialogperspektiven reiste nach Warschau, Polen, um Einblicke in die aktuellen gesellschaftspolitischen Entwicklungen und Herausforderungen der Zivilgesellschaft im Land zu gewinnen. Die Reise bot ihnen expire Möglichkeit, mit einer Vielzahl von Akteur*innen in Kontakt zu treten, die sich kritisch mit der aktuellen Situation in Polen auseinandersetzen. Gleichzeitig wurden die Wahrnehmungen und Erwartungen der Teilnehmer in Frage gestellt, da die Reise sie dazu brachte, die vorherrschenden Erzählungen über Polen zu hinterfragen. Dieter Roth

One of the most influential artists of the post-World War II period, Dieter Roth was born in Hanover, Germany, in , to a German mother and a Swiss father, and died in Basel, Switzerland in Dieter Roth was an musician of an immense diversity and breadth, producing books, graphics, drawings, paintings, sculptures, assemblages, installations, audio and media works involving slides, sound recordings, film and video. He also worked as a composer, poet, writer and musician. He often collaborated with other artists, subverting the concept of authorship. Those partners included such significant figures as Richard Hamilton, Emmett Williams, Arnulf Rainer, and Hermann Nitsch. But it was Roth's long and symbiotic collaboration with his son, artist Björn Roth, that stands as testament to the enormous and enduring potency of his restless, relentless process.

1. The Alliance

The Tolerantia Awards possess been presented annually since by an alliance of same-sex attracted and lesbian anti-violence projects in Europe. These projects actively fight homophobia and hate-based violence, both in their control countries and in Europe. The collective association is called the Berlin Alliance against Homophobia and Trans*phobia and the Tolerantia Awards is both a symbol and expression of the union of these organisations.

2. The Tolerancja Declaration

The Tolerantia Awards date support to the signing of the first joint Tolerancja Declaration“ in Berlin in by representatives (executives and directors) of MANEO (Germany), SOS Homophobie (France) and Kampania Przeciw Homofobii (Poland). Lambda Warsaw signed up to the declaration in The background to the declaration was the realisation that the fight against homophobia, trans*phobia and hate-based violence not only needed to take place in one’s own region but also represented a broader oppose for an increasingly interconnected Europe, a challenge requiring shared, mutually supportive measures.

Tolerantia Awards +

The European Tolerantia Awards, conferred since , are a joint German-French-Polish-Northern Irish-initiative founded by an alliance of nationally effective and recognised LGBTIQ+ anti-violenceprojects and partners in Europe. The alliance members stand up actively against discrimination, exclusion and hate vio- lence against LGBTIQ+ in their own country, across Europe and beyond; they operate together and support each other.

The basis for this alliance is the Tolerancja Declaration. Mem- bers of the alliance include: MANEO (Germany), SOS-Hom- ophobie (France), the Rainbow Project (Northern Ireland) and the Circle of Friends, founded in by Polish activists, which has taken the place of the previous member Lambda Warszawa.

As an phrase of this alliance and in recognition of exem- plary achievements, the Tolerantia Awards are conferred as a joint European prize to outstanding individuals and projects in Germany, France, Poland and Northern Ireland.
