(A few notes to myself)
I have to recognize that definite challenges lay ahead for me as I work to come across my place within the aging sector of the LGBT community. Daily occurrences serves as reminders that I’m not as immature as I once was.
In fact, at this very moment, I am engaging in a shape of self-administered behavioral therapy. I’ve actually started making grunting noises as I begin my mornings, moving around my house. It drives my husband insane: WTF is that? End that!
And do I succumb to the often-appealing attitude to let leave of long-held standards of dress and vibrancy, or do I beat endorse the jungle of antique age ineptitude and endure relevant.
That’s the effort. So here are a few guidelines I’ve reach up with for lgbtq+ men who are, enjoy me, getting older.
1. Preserve your balls shaved. Even if you are the only one looking at them, it’s still key. If you are fortunate to have a sexual partner, shave. No one wants to see a style crotch. Nobody.

Gay Relationship Advice: Age Gaps in Gay Relationships
Many of my LGBTQ counseling clients ask me why they are only attracted to gay men younger than themselves. If you are happy dating gay men in their twenties, then this question is not important. It&#;s like asking &#;Why do I favor blondes over brunettes?&#; My advice is to grant yourself enjoy dating whomever interests you (as extended as they are over the age of 18).
Age gap relationships are more common than you may realize. In western countries:
- 1 out of every twelve male/female couples has an age gap of 10 years or more
- that number increase to 25% in male/male couples
- and 15% of female/female relationships
That same review indicated that age gap partners are more satisfied and more committed to each other than partners of similar age–though there is some research that points to a correlation with higher rates of divorce. Research also shows that couples with an age gap of less than ten years are happier than those with an age gap greater than ten years.
